“Where are we from? We come from childhood, as if from some country...” - this was the opinion of one of the most amazing people - the dreamer, pilot, writer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, whom his friends simply called Saint-Ex.

“I know that I love. I love life". (A. de Saint-Exupéry) All his books talk about respect for people. He also wrote the wise parable “The Little Prince” about love for people, about responsibility to humanity. As in folk tales, here we are talking about good and evil, and the dream of a better life is also expressed.

“The Little Prince” This surprisingly kind work was created by the writer in 1942, far from his beloved France, occupied by the Nazis, and dedicated to his best friend Leon Werth, “when he was little.” Leon Werth, 1914

“The Little Prince” I would gladly begin this story as a fairy tale. I would like to start like this: “Once upon a time there was a Little Prince. He lived on a planet that was slightly larger than himself, and he really missed his friend...” Those who understand what life is would immediately see that this is much more like the truth. Because I don’t want my book to be read for fun.

All adults were children at first, but few of them remember this.

But if you give free rein to the baobabs, trouble will not be avoided.

“I didn’t understand anything then! It was necessary to judge not by words, but by deeds. She gave me her scent and illuminated my life,” says the hero.

An artistic device that organizes the entire plot of a fairy tale into a single whole is the device of travel.

King Power must first of all be reasonable.

Ambitious He was alone on the planet and spoke and thought that he was better than everyone else.

Drunkard “I want to forget that I am ashamed, ashamed to drink.”

Business man “I am a serious person. I have no time to dream."

Lamplighter If everyone works honestly and conscientiously, life will become much better.

Geographer “We don’t celebrate flowers,” said the geographer. - Why?! This is the most beautiful thing!

WHEN RADIO AND TELEVISION BROUGHT HIS THOUGHTS TO US AND INTRODUCED US TO HIS HERO YAMI, STATEMENTS BECAME THE MOTTO OF MANY INTERNATIONAL MEETINGS

  • The fairy tale “The Little Prince” by the French writer Antoine de Saint-Exupery tells the reader about a little boy who, in his own way, sees the world around him in a very unusual way.
  • At the age of six, the boy read about how a boa constrictor swallows its prey, and drew a snake swallowing an elephant. It was a drawing of a boa constrictor from the inside. Then adults claimed that it was a hat and it was difficult to prove anything. So the boy abandoned his brilliant career as an artist. He had to choose a different profession: he grew up and became a pilot. But he did not forget his childhood drawing and showed it to those adults whom he considered smarter than the rest. But everyone answered that it was a hat. And the pilot lived alone - he had no one to talk to Until he met the Little Prince.

Listening to the Little Prince's reasoning and following his travels, you come to the conclusion that all human wisdom is concentrated on the pages of this fairy tale.

“Only the heart is vigilant. You can’t see the most important things with your eyes,” his new friend the Fox told the Little Prince. That’s why the little golden-haired hero was able to see the lamb through the holes in the drawn box. That’s why he understood the deep meaning of human words and actions.

More about the author... In 1919-21 he studied at the School of Fine Arts. In 1921-23 he served in the army; then he worked at a factory. In 1926 he became a civilian pilot. In 1933-34 he was a test pilot. During the Second World War (1939-1945), Saint-Exupéry was a military pilot who fought at the front. After the occupation of France by fascist troops (1940), he emigrated to the United States. Since 1943, a military pilot in North Africa did not return from a reconnaissance flight on July 31, 1944.

Brief plot of the fairy tale. A pilot who wakes up after an accident in the desert discovers next to him a little boy from another planet. The baby (The Little Prince) tells the pilot about his travels, friends and his favorite rose. The pilot fell in love with the baby, but soon the prince flew away to his planet.

Slide 9

Read more about the fairy tale and illustrations. The tale begins with a story about Antoine's career as an artist, which, according to him, ended at the age of 6. “I thought a lot about the adventurous life of the jungle and also drew my first picture with a colored pencil. This was my drawing No. 1."

10 slide

Creation of “drawing No. 2” “I showed my creation to adults and asked if they were scared. “Is the hat scary?” they objected to me. And it wasn't a hat at all. It was a boa constrictor that swallowed an elephant. Then I drew a boa constrictor from the inside so that adults could understand it more clearly. They always need to explain everything. Here is my drawing No. 2."

11 slide

The end of the “artist’s career” “After failing with drawings No. 1 and No. 2, I lost faith in myself.” Antoine Exupery describes adults very interestingly and makes them smile or even laugh “Adults never understand anything themselves, and for children it is very tiring to endlessly explain and explain everything to them.”

12 slide

Children. Describing the little prince, the writer puts all children into his image with their spontaneity and unexpected character. In the hot desert, an unfamiliar boy wakes up the author with an unusual request - “Draw me a lamb.” The writer draws him lambs, but the kid doesn’t like any of them.

Student:

After all, if the stars light up,

So does anyone need this?

So it's necessary

So that every evening over the rooftops

Did at least one star light up?!

V. Mayakovsky.

Teacher:

This question has been asked by hundreds of sages. And the Little Prince says: “I would like to know why the stars shine.” Do you guys look at the stars? Do you have heart-to-heart conversations with each other? Not about lessons, not about football, not about a new computer or game, but about something intimate that you can’t talk about with everyone? And, in general, is there such a person, besides your mother, to whom you can tell everything about yourself?

You’re thinking... You’re probably saying to yourself: “What stars, what a soul, if you don’t have time to breathe without them, there are much more important problems: lessons, tests, sports, TV.

But today let’s try to stop at least for a while and say: take your time, think about the eternal! I invite you to think about the most important philosophical questions.

And our interlocutor will be the kind, wisest man on the planet - the French writer A. de Saint-Exupery and, of course, the main character of his fairy tale, the mysterious Little Prince.

A word about the writer (teacher) (1900-1944).

Pilot, thinker, poet... Man! (slide 3, 4)

The French pilot, who died heroically in an air battle with the Nazis, the creator of deeply lyrical and philosophical works, left a unique mark on the literature of the 20th century.

He was a man of unusually bright, versatile talent; from childhood he was fond of drawing, music, poetry and... technology.

His life was full of dramatic events:what happened to him during flights! More than once he got into plane crashes, died of thirst in the Libyan desert, tried to kidnap captive comrades from a hostile African tribe. “Heroic legends” were composed about him. He was called the knight of the sky.

But he revealed himself most fully in his work. Antoine had two great passions that entered his life almost simultaneously: aviation and literature.

“For me, flying and writing are the same thing” - this is his answer to the question of what is more important to him.

He created touching philosophical works and thereby left a deep mark on the humanistic literature of the 20th century. His works glorify courage and boldness: “Southern Post Office”, “Planet of People”, “Military Pilot”, “Message to a Hostage”, “The Little Prince”.

These books are his life. These are philosophical stories about the role and place of man in life. Philosophical means wise. The heroes of his books are courageous people, people of duty and a heightened sense of responsibility, they are strong-willed people of work.

“We are inhabitants of one planet, passengers of one ship,” said Exupery. He dreamed of saving all humanity, was ready to save everyone on this Earth, and lived for her sake.

In the early 40s. Exupery was forced to live in exile in America. Deprived of his native land and sky, he could only dream of flying. It was then, in 1943, that he worked on the fairy tale “The Little Prince”. What is the fairy tale about?(slide 5)

In his works, Exupery often recalls his childhood.

It was there, as a child, that he looked for answers to his most pressing questions. What is friendship, loyalty, love? The author says that you should not forget your own childhood, you need to hear it in yourself constantly, then there will be more meaning and responsibility in the actions of an adult.“Childhood is a huge land where everyone comes from. Where am I from? I come from childhood, as if from some country.”. And he learned this from his life experience. It is in childhood, says Saint-Exupery, that the first ideas about true friendship are formed.

The writer always valued friendship, it was for him a measure of sincerity, he considered it the most precious thing on the planet.

  1. History of the creation of the work.

The story of the creation of the fairy tale is not accidental. Something broke in the engine of his plane, and he had to make an emergency landing in the Sahara. Exupery has his favorite symbolic images. Here: this is the search for water by thirsty pilots, their physical suffering and amazing rescue. The symbol of life is water, it quenches the thirst of people lost in the sand, it is the source of everything that exists on earth.

What genre does the work belong to? (Fairy tale.)

Prove it. (in the story “The Little Prince” there are fairy-tale features: a fantastic journey of a hero; the main characters are fairy-tale characters - Fox, Snake, Rose, and they all talk, think, act; fairy-tale features: a fantastic journey of a hero,

The “prototype” of the literary fairy tale “The Little Prince” can be considered a folk fairy tale, where a handsome prince, because of unhappy love, leaves his father’s house and wanders in search of happiness and adventure.

The writer reinterprets this plot in his own way. His handsome prince is just a child, suffering from a capricious and eccentric flower. In his wanderings, the little prince meets not with fairy-tale monsters, but with people bewitched, as if by an evil spell, by selfish and petty passions. But this is only the external side of the plot.

P. Announcing the topic and setting lesson goals. (slide 6)

Exupery's work is called a philosophical fairy tale. Philosophy is the science of the general laws of development of man and the world; the word “philosophy” is often used as a synonym for the word “wisdom”. The fairy tale contains many wise thoughts and reflections on the eternal issues of human life. What qualities and values do people call eternal? (Love and friendship, responsibility and devotion.). The theme of friendship itself is not new. Since ancient times, it has been addressed in oral folk art, by professional poets, musicians, artists, and writers. A person cannot live alone. And this understanding comes already in early childhood. Each of us has our own idea of friendship, of a true friend.

What qualities do you value most in your friend?Student answers:

But do we always approach ourselves with such standards? What do you need to do to make a friend stay with you for life?

Student answers:

Sh. Work on the topic of the lesson.

1. Work on the content of the work.

What questions did you have after reading the fairy tale? (Children's answers)

Where does the action take place? (slide 7)

- How did the pilot end up in the desert? (slide 8)

How did you react to the boy’s appearance, how did you see him? (slide 9)

How was the narrator's relationship with the child?

Was the moment of meeting difficult for the Little Prince?(No. He, the child, immediately found a common, related thing between them, noting that they both “fell from the sky”, both are inhabitants of planets. One is an inhabitant of the huge planet Earth, the other is an inhabitant of a small planet, “the size of a house”, which discovered, looking through a telescope, by a funny Turkish astronomer, which he later spoke about at a scientific congress. Adult, serious people named the planet “Asteroid” and assigned it the number “B - 612”)

This is how reality and fantasy intertwine in a literary fairy tale, creating the effect of verisimilitude.

Name the heroes of the fairy tale. (The Little Prince, Rose, Fox.)

What is the baby asteroid? (This is a symbol of the planet, and it is also a distant world of childhood for many adults.)

- What do we learn about the planet of the little prince? How does she look?

Why did the Little Prince need a lamb?

And there was also a chair on the planet, sitting on which and moving which, the Little Prince watched beautiful sunsets and sometimes felt sad.

Why was the Little Prince sad? (He didn't have a friend)

2 . Characteristics of the Little Prince.

What can you say about the character of the Little Prince?

What qualities of his character do you especially like?

Why? (The Little Prince is a child, very inquisitive, sociable, polite. He is active and hardworking).

- What rules did the Little Prince follow while living on his little planet? Find these rules in the text, read them and comment on them. In class we will simply name them, and at home you will write them down in your notebook. So, what is the daily routine of an inhabitant of the planet?

“You got up in the morning, washed your face, put yourself in order - and immediately put your planet in order. You definitely need to weed out the baobab trees every day.” (slide 10)

"Beware of the baobabs!" - the writer conjures. Baobabs are images of evil in general. (slide 11). The writer often repeated that seeds lie in the ground for the time being, and then they germinate. It is necessary for good seeds to sprout. “After all, all adults were children at first...” People must preserve and not lose along the path of life everything that is bright, kind and pure in their souls, which will make them incapable of evil and violence. In order to carry only light and goodness within itself, “the soul must work.”

Try to explain: “...All adults were once children, but few of them remember this.” A. de Saint-Exupéry. (The world of childhood is fragile and pure, children are spontaneous beings who live relying on their feelings, listening to the voice of the heart. Adults often lose the ability to imagine, stop paying attention to the beauty of the world and thereby limit themselves. Therefore, adults and children are two worlds, two different planets, and only a few are able to return to the land of childhood...)

Why did the Little Prince decide to travel with migratory birds?(slide 14)

Read the episode where Rose appears. How does the author describe it?(slide 15) (Chapter 8. Rose was capricious and touchy, and the baby was completely exhausted with her. But “but she was so beautiful that it took your breath away!”,(slide 16) and he forgave the flower his whims. But he took her words to heart and began to feel unhappy. Verbs are used to describe Rose: she preened herself, selected colors, wanted to appear in the splendor of her beauty, the petals opened.)

  1. Reading by roles.

Dialogue between Rose and the Little Prince.

What does the story of the relationship between the Little Prince and Rose teach? (She teaches caring and understanding to be attentive to those around her. “I didn’t understand anything then! I should have judged not by words, but by deeds. She gave me her scent, illuminated my life. I shouldn’t have run away. You should have guessed the tenderness behind these pitiful tricks and tricks. Flowers are so inconsistent! " (slide 17)

What is Rose's wisdom? What does she teach us? (Tenderness and pride. Remaining alone on the planet, they did not reproach the Little Prince for anything, proudly pointing to all four thorns with which nature had armed her. She did not want to admit her defenselessness, so as not to hurt her loved one. Their farewell is filled with sadness and tenderness: “And not a word of reproach.” “Where does this quiet tenderness come from?”) ( slide 18, 20)

Conclusion: Rose is a symbol of love and beauty. The little prince did not immediately discern the true essence of beauty. « But I was too young, I didn’t know how to love yet.” - says the hero.)

Why do you think the adults whom the Little Prince met on other planets did not teach him how to be friends?

Why couldn't he find a friend among those he met? What are their limitations? (While traveling, the boy meets different people busy with the same thing: a king, a geographer, a drunkard, a business man, an ambitious man, a lamplighter.) These are adults, many of them have completely forgotten about true values. Each of them is the bearer of a single idea.

King: “Everyone must be asked what he can give. The government must be reasonable."

Ambitious: “Vainous people are deaf to everything except praise.”

A drunkard drinks because he is ashamed of himself. In vodka he finds oblivion. Every person must find the strength to change themselves if necessary.

Visiting business person. If a person considers his main advantage to be that he is serious and businesslike, and is busy only with business, his life has been lived in vain. If he “in his entire life has never smelled a flower, never looked at a star, never loved anyone, he is not a man, he is a mushroom.”(slide 21)

Visit to the Lamplighter.(slide 22) . Once, getting lost in the sky of the Sahara, Exupery saw: a fiery point sparkled on the left on the horizon. And in the happiness of salvation, in the flickering of this distant fire, perhaps for the first time the image of a lamplighter arose. After all, lamplighters live not only on tiny planets. To be a beacon for people all your life, for a loved one - this is probably a person’s happiness.).(slide 23) .

What feelings does the Little Prince experience when he finds himself on planet Earth? He sees that the people here are the same as on the planets he visited. He is sad and lonely..(slide 24) .

What a strange planet. Completely dry, covered in needles and salty. And people lack imagination. They only repeat what they say.

Who does the Little Prince meet on planet Earth? (Fox).(slide 25) .

This meeting is very important in the fairy tale. The Fox has long been a symbol of folk wisdom and knowledge of life in fairy tales. Their conversations become a kind of culmination, because in them the hero finds what he was looking for. The clarity and purity of consciousness that had been lost returns to him. The fox reveals to the baby the life of the human heart, teaches the rituals of love and friendship, which people have long forgotten and therefore lost friends and lost the ability to love.

After a conversation with the Fox, the truth was revealed to him: beauty only becomes beautiful when it is filled with meaning.

Recently, you and I had a very important conversation about friendship and friends. And you, answering questions, said that a friend is someone who will not betray, will always help, and you can tell him everything. But the survey results also showed that among you there are those who, like the Little Prince at the beginning of his journey, believe that friendship is only a fun time spent together. Let's now see how the Little Prince came to a deeper understanding of the meaning of friendship.

On planet Earth he saw many roses. They were like two peas in a pod like the one he left behind. And when he realized “that the rose is not the only one in the world,” he was very upset. “He lay down in the grass and cried.”

Who consoled him? ( Fox).

Why Lis?

Fairytale image - folk wisdom.

- Let's hear how it happened.(Reading by roles)

- What did the wise Fox teach the Little Prince?

He teaches the hero the true understanding of love and friendship, which people have forgotten about and therefore lost their friends. In the eternal rush of modern life, love perishes. There is no time to have a heart-to-heart talk with a friend, stop and look inside yourself, think about the meaning of life, and even making friends seems like an unaffordable luxury. The fox explains to the prince that the most important thing is to need each other and be responsible for each other. To have friends, you need to give them your soul, give them the most precious thing - your time. Each person is responsible not only for his own destiny, but also for the one he has “tamed.”

Conversation on issues.

How do you understand this somewhat unusual word for us “tamed”?

Do people immediately become attracted to each other? How does Fox talk about this?

What is the most important thing in friendship?

(Student answers, selective reading)

- You can feel true friendship only by “Giving all your days to Rose”

- You need to teach your heart to rejoice in meeting a friend and see the best in him: “Only the heart is vigilant. You can’t see the most important thing with your eyes.”.(slide 26) .

- Don’t forget your friends, because “we are forever responsible for those we have tamed”

How important it is that many of you understand that friendship is work and a great responsibility.

What two important secrets does the Fox reveal to the Little Prince?

So:

“We are responsible for those we have tamed.”

“Only the heart is vigilant. You can’t see the most important thing with your eyes...”

How did you understand this?

Does the fox teach the little prince to be responsible? (He says: “Your Rose is so dear to you because you gave her all your days. People have forgotten the truth, but don’t forget: you are always responsible for those you have tamed.”).(slide 27) .

Result: My Rose is the only one because I tamed her. And the Little Prince returns to his planet to his only Rose. He is responsible for her..(slide 30) .

Exupery claims that nothing can interfere with the friendship of a person with a person and other living beings, except the person himself. Everyone wants to be tamed. The fox insinuatingly and persistently asks the Little Prince for this, he even teaches him tenderness and gradualism, loyalty and perseverance. Both the prince and the Fox need this friendship equally.(slide 28). And the Little Prince needed her even more, because it was the Fox who taught him to love. He taught that “love cannot be abstract, love is always concrete,” and explained this (to him and to the readers) using the example of the Little Prince’s love for Rose. And when he saw many roses on the ground, it seemed to him that not one of them could compare with his Rose. She was eccentric and capricious, she was picky and argumentative, she even offended the Little Prince who raised her. But she was his Rose, he knew her habits and stupidities, her grievances and joys. With his love he made her uniquely beautiful and unique. The Little Prince understood all this thanks to the friendship of the Fox, he understood and felt, and yearned for his Rose, and wanted to return to her, so as never to leave her again.

And now he is returning to his planet. Why? There's his Rose. And he is responsible for her.(slide 30).

4. Vocabulary work. (slide 31).

What wise expressions from the fairy tale have you copied? Explain their meaning.

Judging yourself is much more difficult than judging others.

Only children know what they are looking for.

It's good where we are not.

Only the heart is vigilant.

The most important thing is what you cannot see with your eyes...

The heart also needs water...

Each person has their own stars.

The only true luxury on Earth is the luxury of human communication.

You are forever responsible for those you have tamed.

Power must first of all be reasonable.

Exupery teaches us to hear the soul of the person walking next to you through life, touching heart to heart. The search for water is long and difficult, but the water turns out to be magical, special, because “it was born from a long journey under the stars, from the creaking of gates” from the efforts of human hands. The little prince says: “The heart also needs water.” How do you understand this?

How did you see the author on the pages of the book “The Little Prince”? (The purity and trustfulness of his huge childish soul, he is not capable of meanness. The beauty of the world and nature, sunrises and sunsets, every flower are the writer’s ideals.)(slide 32).

1U. Lesson summary.

What did the main character of the fairy tale learn and what does this work teach us? - Yes, guys, the Little Prince has learned to see the main thing: the truly valuable thing is one single rose, one most desired sip of water. You must be faithful in love and friendship, you cannot be indifferent to what is happening in the world.

Exupery teaches us to see with our hearts the souls of those who are dear and close to us. “Love and friendship are the work of the soul.”

This tale can be taken literally: it was a fantastic adventure of a pilot in the desert - a meeting with an inhabitant of a distant planet, the Little Prince. Or you can perceive this story as a meeting between the pilot and himself, with his own childhood.I'll tell you one secret. You can read this book at any age. A very small child perceives it as a fairy tale. She made us think about very serious life issues. If you read it when you are older, this tale will open up to you in a different way. Because this is a wise parable about love and fidelity, about friendship and self-sacrifice, kindness and beauty.

I believe: in everyone forever

Goodness and joy will settle.

Love will rise, old age will recede,

New friends will be found.

DEDICATION To Leon Werth I ask the children to forgive me for dedicating this book to an adult. I'll say this in justification: this adult is my best friend. And one more thing: he understands everything in the world, even children's books. And finally, he lives in France, and it’s hungry and cold there now. And he really needs consolation. If all this does not justify me, I will dedicate this book to the boy who was once my adult friend. After all, all adults were children at first, but few of them remember this.
